Community workshop #4
- FEBRUARY 3, 2007
 On
the morning of February 3, approximately 50 people participated
in a walking workshop for the Santa Fe Depot Specific Plan
Update. The tour started and ended at Depot Park, covering
the portion of the planning area south of Maple Avenue. Focused
stops included: the area in front of the historic Santa Fe
Depot; the Lemon Street public parking lot; South Cypress
at the historic icehouse property; the corner of South Cypress
and West Lemon; and the 200 block of South Lemon.
Participants were asked to make observations about the areas
being toured in relation to the alternative land use scenarios
presented at Workshop #3. Workbooks were provided to those
in attendance to record their comments. The comments were
transcribed from the 16 workbooks returned to City staff (included
below). This input will be taken into consideration in the
preparation of a refined land use alternative (Preferred Plan).
The Preferred Plan will be presented to the public for validation
at a public workshop in the spring.
